Contact lens clinic
Lucy Ward runs our contact lens clinic. Whether you want to try contact lenses for the first time or have worn them for years, she will find the type that suits your eyes and your routine.
First-time fitting
A first fitting takes 45 minutes. We check that your eyes are suited to lenses, measure them, fit a trial pair and teach you to put them in, take them out and look after them. You leave with trial lenses and a check about two weeks later. Our journal has a first-timer's guide.
Aftercare
If you wear lenses, your eyes need checking regularly, usually once a year, so we can see how the lenses are sitting and how your eyes are. Without an up-to-date check we cannot supply lenses.
Types we fit
Daily disposables, monthly lenses, lenses for astigmatism and multifocal lenses. Some people cannot wear lenses, and we will tell you if that applies.
Prices
- Contact lens fitting: £35
- Contact lens aftercare: free for 3 months after a fitting, then £20
- Lenses are on our contact lens shop, with delivery to your door.
