What we collect

When you book or buy we collect your name, contact details and the appointment or order. At an eye test we record your clinical information, such as your prescription. Clinical records are health data and we treat them with extra care.

Why

To book your visit, give you care, make your glasses, send reminders and meet the law that requires opticians to keep records.

Who sees it

Our staff see what they need. We share information with your GP or a hospital eye department only when you ask us to or when your care needs it, and with suppliers such as lens laboratories and delivery firms only as needed to fill your order.

How long we keep it

Clinical records are kept for the period set out by the professional regulator. Other information is kept only as long as it is needed.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or to object to how we use it, subject to the records we must keep. Write to us via the contact page.
