Dry eye clinic
Dry eye is common. Eyes can feel gritty, sore, burning or oddly watery, and can be worse in air conditioning, on screens or in the evening. Dr Shah runs our dry eye clinic.
The assessment
A 45-minute appointment. Dr Shah asks about your symptoms and daily life, looks at your eyelids and the surface of your eyes, and checks your tear film. Where it helps, he takes images of your eyes.
What happens next
You get a written plan. This usually means simple changes first: warm compresses, lid cleaning, taking screen breaks and, sometimes, drops or supplements which we can supply. We will suggest a review in a few weeks to see how you are getting on. If we think you need more, we will refer you to your GP or an eye clinic.
Cost
Dry eye assessment: £45, paid online when you book. If you cancel more than 24 hours before, we refund it in full; after that we refund half. Treatments and products are priced separately and we tell you before you buy. See our eye care range.
