NHS eye test

  • Secure checkout
Description

A sight test and a check of your eye health, with an optometrist. It takes about 30 minutes. We test how well you see, look at the front and back of your eyes, and tell you whether you need glasses or a change of prescription. It can also pick up conditions such as glaucoma and diabetes early.

The test is free if you qualify for NHS-funded sight tests. If you do not, the NHS test fee applies, or you can choose our private eye test.

  • Anyone aged 60 or over

  • Anyone who gets certain benefits, such as Universal Credit (with the right earnings), Pension Credit Guarantee Credit or Income Support, or who holds an NHS tax credit exemption certificate or an HC2 or HC3 certificate

Not sure? Ask us when you book and we will check with you at the desk.
